for at least one year! Yes, I even got a job there, so no hitchhiking or anything (at least not until my first vacation). Anyway, since I'm gonna spend some time abroad again, I'll probably be posting more blog-entries too to keep everyone back home informed.
As yet, I don't know what language I'm gonna write the log in. I'd actually prefer to keep writing in English, because I feel more comfortable writing about stuff that's close to me in a language that's not AS close to me. At least not as close as my mother tongue. Makes me feel more secure. I think lots of people feel the same about their second languages.....and some think this kind of reasoning is really weird. Oh well...
On the downside, there's a lot of people back home who don't read English or refuse to do so and since those people might actually be the only ones to read the blog, I should probably write it in German. It's just that I don't want to.... We'll see, maybe I'll make it bilingual or create an extra blog in German/Japanese/Hindi/whatever. But then I know I'm soon gonna discontinue all of them.... Anyway, I've still got almost two months to go. I'll start a survey among my three readers and let the market dictate the rules.
Another issue: should I change the name of the weblog? I'll be living in Hokkaido, which is a cold and snowy place, so it might as well be windy, right? Plus, I like the name of the blog as it is. Sorted.
This whole thing still feels a bit unreal anyway. I'll just sit back and wait until the embassy sends me a brochure until I actually start thinking about stuff like this.
